This hands-on course is designed for beginner photographers and videographers who want to master the art of studio lighting. Whether you're new to studio lighting or looking to improve your skills, this course provides foundational knowledge and practical experience to create dynamic and professional-quality images. During the 8 hour course , you'll explore the key elements of studio lighting, including understanding different types of light, how to set up and adjust lighting for various looks, and creative techniques to enhance your photography or videography projects. The day will end with a Professional Photoshoot that will include a model and provide the perfect opportunity to practice your new skills! Don’t have a camera? No worries! We will have professional cameras onsite that everyone can use. This guarantees everyone will walk away with new work for their portfolio!

Your Instructor:

Dani Sax is known for her beauty and fashion photography, which has led to her becoming a well-respected photographer within the industry. Recognized by top tier brands such as Patrick Ta Beauty and Philipp Plein, she has also been published in numerous magazines, including L’ociel Austrailia and Photobook Magazine. With an eye for capturing the perfect shot, she works with a variety of dierent lighting techniques, navigating everything from dramatic studio setups to soft natural light. Her work has experimented with shadows and colors, utilizing them in order to add mood and depth. In this hands on course, students will learn how to utilize studio equipment in order to achieve the desired eects with lighting. Students will learn the fundamentals of lighting an image, exploring both the technical and creative aspects. Dani will be giving a look into her own creative process while allowing students to discover their own personal style, ensuring that by the end of the course they will leave confident in their ability to light their own images.
